The “Annual Dream Day” has been a yearly tradition to reunite and celebrate a fruitful year for the company. This year’s celebration is a bit different because of the pandemic that we have been facing and the lockdown that the city has undergone, but that didn’t stop the team to find a way to celebrate a year that was filled with opportunities and hard work.
As an appetizer, days before the event, the project team challenged the employees to post military-inspired OOTDsand Tiktok videos with a given theme, and the employees who will get the most liked photos/videos of the day will win prizes.
On the 9th day of April 2021, the event was conducted through zoom calls at Aljay Agro-Industrial Solutions Incorporated, Main Office. In celebration of Aljay’s 40th Anniversary, the event project team came up with the theme: “Agri Warriors”, which represents Aljay as Soldiers of Agriculture, securing the safety of every farmer’s dream, and all employees wore army-inspired attire to embody the theme of the event.
The event started with praise and worship led by the Praise and Worship team. Ms. Beverly Acosta – The Business Development Unit Officer in Charge – welcomed and extended her appreciation to all employees who were present at the event despite the circumstances, followed by an exciting raffle draw lead by Ms. Joan Gacias-Suyom.
After that, the master of ceremony, Ms. Jennelyn Bacellonia introduced the speakers for the morning seminars. The first speaker of the seminar was the Chairman of Aljay Agro-Industrial Solutions, Inc., sir Rolando ‘Oyie’ Alejandro. Sir Oyie’s discussion was titled “What the Youth Doesn’t Know”. The discussion started off with a father and son who were reasoning with each other about the difference of views of the generations they lived in (Book: The 100-mile Walk) which led to the 9Ps, the People, Purpose, Passion, Performance, Persistence, Perspective, Paranoia, Principles, and Practice. One of the most memorable parts of sir Oyie’s discussion is to “remember the importance of focus – one A+ outcome at a time”.
The second speaker was Sir Marlon Molmisa, Chairman of Elevation, the guest speaker of the event. Sir Marlon began his discussion entitled “Stand Up and Stand Out: The Secrets and Power of Personal Growth” with how the world has changed and has been changing; and where there is change, there is also a crisis. As the discussion progressed, he shared about the power of personal growth and its 3Ps, 1) Value the Preparation, 2) Enjoy the Process, and 3) Surround yourself with Great Peers. At the end of his talk, he imparted with an important lesson of “An opportunity of self growth in times of crisis”
In the afternoon, employees who stood out during the business cycle last Fiscal year were recognized.
Aside from recognizing top-performing employees and departments, there were also games and raffle draws to engage the employees. After all of the seminars, awarding, games, and raffles, the President, Mr. Kris Kristoffer Alejandro gave his heartwarming message to close the event and made a surprising announcement about rewarding a kick-off bonus to all employees.
Indeed, this event is to make us one in the revolution and to make us be the soldiers in the war that we’re facing with our farmers. In addition, this makes us reunited and makes us have a stronger relationship among employees where we celebrate achievements as one family. Agri Warriors, we all have one mission and this is to protect the farmers at all cost, DO YOU COPY?!
