The vaccination program in the Philippines is currently underway. One of the solutions proposed to ease the burden from the government and augment its current efforts is to allow the private sector to procure and import vaccines directly from the manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies.
One of the important priorities of the company is the safety of its employees. As a response, the company initiated to procure a COVID19 vaccine for our employees in partnership with De Vera Medical Center, Inc. To further educate the employees about the vaccine, the company initiated an information drive through ZOOM last May 14, 2021 and was attended by our employees including our sister company, ALJAY BIO-SCIENCES, Inc. and our mother company, A.C. PRIME HOLDINGS ASIA, Inc.
Dr. Adrian Salvador M. De Vera was the speaker and he explained the importance of vaccination, for us to be protected from the COVID19 virus. He stressed that the available vaccine right now is the safest one and discussed the continuous rising COVID cases in the City and the entire Philippines.
After the video presentation, we had an open forum and allowed our employees to ask our Guest Doctor regarding the vaccine. Majority of the questions were about the side effects and the efficacy rate of the vaccine.
Before the information drive, we conducted a survey to all employees asking if they are willing to be vaccinated and only 89% of our employees responded, 52% are willing and 37% are still concerned about the efficacy and side effects.
However after the information drive, majority of our employees were enlightened and became willing to be vaccinated as the facts presented had changed their views and opinions about the vaccine.
