Boom! It’s SquadTime: Your Online Agrikada, Aljay Agro-Industrial Solutions’ first ever variety show which premiered on June 26, 2021, Saturday at 2pm via live streaming on Aljay’s official Facebook account!
The program was created through a series of studies and deliberations of a competent and creative team spearheaded by Mr. Dennis Nungulat, the Production Head.Inspired by the fact that farmers do work long hours, physically exhausting tasks, plus the struggles that they suffered from the COVID pandemic for the past two years, Aljay devised SquadTime: Your Online Agrikada to provide entertainment and somehow help our dear farmers get through the struggles they face in the world today.
True to its roots, the show’s title itself, SquadTime: Your Online Agrikada, came from the idea of “friends having a good time.” Carrying this idea, the show was hosted by a group of dynamic and high-spirited people: Ang Kwelang Rakitera ng Agrikada—Azel, Ang Bright Chikadora ng Agrikada—Jayson, Ang Kikay Classy ng Agrikada—Shia, Ang Sweet Bisaya ng Agrikada—Janice, Ang Hunk Vlogger ng Agrikada—Dexter, Ang DJ Hardinero ng Agrikada—Jerico, and Ang Pretty Witty ng Agrikada—Blessing. Aside from a good-spirited banter carried out by the hosts, Aljay made the show a venue to give exciting prizes.
For the pilot episode, the special guest is our very own Miss Philippines Earth 2021 Finalist, Ms. Zeneth Kahn from Cordon, Isabela—Ang Dazzling Beauty Queen ng Agrikada. During the segment Shia Talks, Ms. Zeneth emphasized her advocacy about sustainable farming and promoting Agritourism. As expected from the Dazzling Beauty Queen of Agrikada, her advocacy is in line with Aljay’s vision of introducing cool and sustainable farming to the younger generations, since we are now engaging in the digital era.
Another guest was the voice behind Aljay’s jingle, “Buhay ang Pangarap ”, and a pride of Santiago City, the rising star Ms. Nikki Dumag. Ms. Nikki entertained the audience with a live acoustic performance.
In the SquadTime segment, Flex ko Yarn!, the Agrikadas were grouped into two and played for prizes to be given away to lucky viewers. The winners during this segment were Eubert De Guzman, Joselito Borja, Kiara Mallare, and Mark Paulino Apigo.
Another game played was SquadTime Insta Panalo. For this game, the names and contact numbers of Aljay customers were gathered before the show and were put in the SquadTime wheel. In this game of luck, the winners of ₱500 were Christine Lardizabal, Erick Gadiano, Igay Onorico, Queen Venus Tan, Marijoy Pinto, and Kaycee Villas.
The last game played was Sana Ol Hanap—a hidden picture game. In this game, the viewers need to identify Aljay products, types of machinery, and a name hidden in the image flashed. Some of the lucky winners who won ₱100 worth of load, ₱500, and ₱1000 were Roderick Turingan, Yllor Otero, James Pascua, Carla Asuncion, Kaycee Villas, Maribeth Taboyu, Rizalyn Ramones, Kate Acosta, and Hanna Ali.
By the end of the show, Aljay surprised the viewers by giving a Samsung Android smartphone to one lucky audience, the winner was chosen based on their answer to the question ‘Why do you deserve to win the Android smartphone?’
Mr. Darriel Barabas from Sultan Kudarat won the surprise item. In his comment, he stated that he will be giving it, the Android smartphone, to his parents. “Ibibigay ko po sa magulang ko na magsasaka upang maka-download sila sa app tungkol sa kanilang pagsasaka.”
After the show’s successful debut, SquadTime: Your Online Agrikada will continue to air on two Saturday afternoons this July. Expect a terrific show and doses of happiness from the YFarmers’ newest favorite entertainment!
